We can already see the first buds in our vineyard! As spring begins the vine “awakes” from the vegetative rest of the winter period. The sap runs though the plant and the buds or shoots appear, which marks the beginning of the annual cycle. The first buds appear on the branch and they will grow into leaves. At this moment it is fundamental to plow the land and bury the weeds. This allows the land to aerate which favors the growth of the roots. Not fogetting that we are at a critical moment, a moment of danger for the vine due to possible spring frost.
