    FAQ's

Grape juice concentrate comes from the natural juice squeezed directly from the grapes. It is a juice that is extracted during the first stages of wine production, and which starts the whole process to obtain the final product.

At Julián Soler we follow the unique #NothingButGrapes process, which ensures that we use only the best quality grapes for our grape juice concentrates. We are fortunate to be located in the world's largest wine-growing region. It all starts with the growing and harvesting of the grapes, our premium raw material, which are picked at their optimum ripeness.

Once it arrives at our facilities, it is analysed and classified thanks to our own laboratory equipped with the latest technology in juice and juice analysis. This allows us to control complete traceability from origin to dispatch.

After processing the grapes, by physical means to achieve the maximum amount of product in its squeezing, the free-run concentrated grape juice concentrate is obtained. This is stored in AISI 316 stainless steel tanks. It is then subjected to a vacuum evaporation process, after which we obtain a concentrate with 65/68ºBrix.

Our grape juice concentrate is filtered through polypropylene membranes to avoid settling in the final product. It can then be packed in IBCs, standard drums and/or aseptic drums. It can also be shipped in bulk.

No, the grape juice concentrate does not contain alcohol. As the juice is directly extracted from the grapes, it contains the sugar from the fruit itself. Therefore, as it has not yet reached the fermentation stage, it has not yet been converted into alcohol.

Grape juice concentrate comprises between 70% and 80% water, as well as other elements that give it its colour, flavour and texture. It is a drink that does not provide much energy or calories per 100 grams:

Grape juice concentrate is the first part after the grape press, the grape juice itself after the grapes have been harvested. Wine, on the other hand, is the result of the alcoholic fermentation of this grape juice concentrate, in addition to other procedures to reach the final product.

Grape juice concentrate is the first part after the press, the grape juice itself after the grapes have been harvested. Grape juices and nectars, on the other hand, are usually prepared with between 25% and 45% fruit concentrate, with the addition of water and other ingredients to improve the taste.

At Julián Soler you can find five types of grape juice concentrates, both conventional and sulphite-free, organic and sustainable.

    • White grape juice concentrate: Obtained by partial dehydration of the white grape juice concentrate Airén variety, available in different shades.

As you can read in an article we dedicated to the properties and benefits of grape juice concentrate, this drink has a significant positive impact on the body. As it is free of additives and made from 100% virgin grape juice, it retains the natural sugars, acids and colourings of the grape. Here are some of the benefits:

    • Antioxidants such as resveratrol and flavonoids.
    • Anti-inflammatory properties
    • Prevention of cardiovascular, neurological and cancer diseases
    • Delaying cellular ageing
    • Strengthening of the circulatory system
    • Stabilisation of cholesterol levels
    • Minerals, vitamins C and E, etc.

Grape juice concentrate comprises between 70% and 80% water, as well as other elements that give it its colour, flavour and texture. It contains natural sugars such as glucose and fructose, polyphenols from the skins and seeds and other substances such as minerals, vitamins and organic acids.

As a beverage extracted directly from grapes, its nutritional value is very similar to that of the fruit. Therefore, the sugars present in the grape juice concentrate are the same natural sugars found in grapes. Moreover, as there is no alcoholic content, it does not have the contraindications of alcohol.

One of the most valued benefits of grape juice concentrate is its antioxidant capacity, as we can highlight resveratrol and flavonoids in its composition. The latter also has anti-inflammatory properties and can act preventively against cancer, cardiovascular and neuronal diseases. Our Tintorera grape variety is particularly suitable for delaying cellular ageing.

This has allowed different studies to establish that grape juice concentrate can protect our hearts and strengthen our arteries. In the same way, it will help us to reduce the chances of suffering blood clots and to stabilise cholesterol levels. Hence the importance of always demanding quality raw materials and state-of-the-art processes.

Finally, we must not forget that grape juice concentrates also contain a good amount of vitamins C and E and minerals such as potassium, copper and iron. This allows our body to function normally cognitively, as well as act as a diuretic and antiseptic.

Julián Soler's grape juice concentrate is exported to 48 countries all over the world, and our customers include companies from different sectors. Some of them use grape juice concentrate to make fruit juices, blending with other juices and also making 100% grape juice.

At Julián Soler we provide our customers with our know-how and R&D&I for the development of innovative products. We have our own laboratory and R&D department to be the strategic partner and great connoisseur of the product for the needs of our customers.

In Asian destinations it is also used to make wine, the concentrated grape juice is diluted, and fermented, obtaining wine of Spanish origin. The grape juice concentrate is used in multiple scenarios and different sectors in the food and beverage industry, as well as in the pharmaceutical and nutricosmetic industry in the form of food supplements for skin beauty and other health benefits.
